Waiting for Baby Sheats....... Kamdyn's birth was much anticipated by all of us. It was especially exciting because we opted not to find out if we were going to have a boy or a girl. Baby Sheats was expected to arrive around Memorial Day, but she wanted to come a few days early so she would be home for any holiday cookouts :) Kameron started experiencing labor pains at 6 am on Saturday, May 26. By 11:30 am, we decided that it was time to head to the hospital. By 1:30 pm, we were admitted and told by the nursing staff that this was "it." It took a while for Baby Sheats to make her way into the world. But at 9:44 pm, Daddy announced, "It's a girl!" We were overjoyed and so excited to finally hold our new addition in our arms.
| Naming Baby Sheats..... Since we did not know if we were having a boy or a girl, our list of names was quite immense. When baby Sheats was born, we had no idea which name fit best. So our bundle of joy went without an official name for about a day and a half. After much deliberation, we decided on Kamdyn for its similarities to mommy's name, and NiaGrace for its sweet sound and strong meaning. Kamdyn means "winding path or valley" and NiaGrace means "Purpose" and "Grace/Favor." We hope that in the winding roads of life, Kamdyn will choose to stay on the path of purpose, grace, and the holy existence to which she has been called.
